About Us
Focus

The NABSF seeks to focus on outreach activities to a broad community of potential recipients with educational interest in aquatic, environmental and archaeological sciences. While the NABSF's inception stems from the NABS organization and its 2200 members located throughout the continental United States and Caribbean region, the duties of the officers of the two organizations by definition separate and apart from each other.

Membership

The NABSF gladly accepts members from the NABS Organization and others in as much as they are willing to support its goals and objectives of being a charitable and educationally focused organization. The NABSF will serve as a clearinghouse for identifying individuals and initiatives that can benefit from exposure from such programs through education and training. The identification and selection of such individuals and initiatives will be done regardless of race, creed, or color.

Welcome to the NABS Foundation Est. 2005

Marine preservation, research, and training are the keys to ensuring future generations of divers will have an opportunity to see and enjoy the wonders of the sea. The National Association of Black Scuba Divers Foundation (NABSF) is dedicated to supporting marine preservation, research and training new divers.

Founded in 2005, NABSF is the philanthropic arm of the National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABS) organization. As such, it plays a crucial role in fundraising, asset management, and the stewardship of activities associated with these responsibilities. Gifts and grants from individuals, corporate entities, foundations, and other organizations provide the resources necessary to accomplish NABSF'S educational, research and public service mission. NABSF is the depository and fiduciary for these funds.

NABSF's activities and initiatives are managed by a seven (7) member Board of Directors comprised of respected divers and community leaders with extensive experience and professions in law, business, academia and industry.
